Soon the Spiderman No Way Home movie will be out, but before watching, try the following best Spiderman games.
The latest trailer for Spiderman No Way Home was greeted with great fanfare by Marvel fans. The trailer, which lasts about 3 minutes, shows Spiderman and Doctor Strange facing Doctor Octopus’ ‘hand,’ then Electro, and the Green Goblin. The film is directed by Jon Watts and is the third installment in the Home franchise, which began with ‘Spiderman Homecoming’ and was followed by ‘Spiderman Far From Home.’
The plan, the film Spiderman: No Way Home itself, will soon be aired on December 17, 2021. But before watching, maybe you can play the best Spiderman games first. Anything? Check out the following list.
1. Spiderman 3 (2007)
Gamers who have played the PS2 console are familiar with the Spiderman 3 series, which was released in 2007. This game was even available for PC, PSP, Nintendo DS versions, even for PS3 and Xbox 360. This third series is a series that comes with better 3D graphics than the two previous series. The release of this third series was also accompanied by Tobey Maguire’s version of the Spiderman 3 film series.
There are not many differences in the Spiderman 3 series on the PS2 and PS3 versions. Both still have the same narrative flow, only a few different mission alternatives. In addition, the PS2 and PS3 versions have differences in the combat system, which feels more rigid for the PS2 version.
2. The Amazing Spiderman
After Tobey Maguire’s version of Spiderman was over, the next came the era of The Amazing Spiderman, which Andrew Garfield fought. Along with the film’s release, Activision also released The Amazing Spiderman game for PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The exciting thing about this game is the storyline that it presents. Because it offers an alternative epilogue from the film version of The Amazing Spiderman, the story itself focuses on the chaotic events carried out by Specimen, the results of experiments created by the Oscorp company based on the research of Curt Connors.
But the chaos doesn’t stop there because Peter Parker also has to deal with a hunting robot created by Smythe. So like it or not, Peter had to overthrow them one by one and, in the end, faced with Connors, who turned into a Lizard.
3. Spiderman Friend or Foe
Spiderman Friend or Foe was released on October 2, 2007, on various consoles specifically for the PSP. Spiderman Friend or Foe initially announced the game series through the latest installment of the Spiderman 3 franchise with promotions stating that the series would take on a new story. At the beginning of the game, players will be shown a cutscene where Spiderman fights with the Sinister Six. Suddenly one by one, the enemies disappeared by alien planes. Fortunately, Spiderman was saved by SHIELD.
Fury, the head of SHIELD, sends Spiderman to pick up the meteor shards scattered in several locations. In the mission to retrieve the meteor shards, Peter Parker will also return to face the members of the Sinister Six who aliens control.
4. Spiderman Edge Of Time
Spiderman Edge Of Time is a sequel to Spiderman Shattered Dimension, released in 2010. The storyline in Edge of Time is similar to Shattered Dimension, where Spiderman will act in several time dimensions. Spiderman 2099 in the future is told to turn back time to meet the Amazing Spiderman. They must work together to prevent the death of Peter Parker’s character.
The game comes with linear third-person action-adventure gameplay, so players will experience controlling two versions of Spiderman at once, spanning the traditional Marvel Comics universe and the futuristic 2099 universe.
5. Spiderman 2 Enter Electro
Gamers of the 90s are certainly no stranger to the title Spiderman 2 Enter Electro. This game was developed by Sony together with the developer Vicarious Visions for the PlayStation 1 console. This game carries an open-world concept, so the gameplay successfully anesthetizes gamers it presents because it allows gamers to move Spiderman here and there as they please.
Interestingly, the scenery and details in Spiderman 2 Enter Electro are made as closely as possible to the city of New York. In addition, gamers will also meet several enemies, including King Pin, Krave, and Electro, who follow from the Amazing Spiderman 2 film series.
6. Spiderman The Movie (2002)
Next, there is Spiderman The Movie, which was released in 2002 and developed by Treyarch. This game itself adapts from the film version, which still stars Tobey Maguire. In this game, players will feel how to become a superhero Spiderman. The narrative storyline presented is also not much different from the film version, where Peter Parker started his career as a superhero by completing various missions, starting with finding the killer of Ben’s uncle to dealing with the Green Goblin.
7. Ultimate Spiderman
Next is Ultimate Spiderman, developed by Treyarch and released in 2005 for various consoles, namely Xbox, PS2, Nintendo DS, and many more. The Ultimate Spiderman game follows the comic’s title and tells the story of Spiderman’s fight against the Symbiotes. Ultimate Spiderman has attractive comic-style graphics, a fantastic story, and exciting gameplay. This game is worth a try for true Spiderman fans.
8. Spiderman Shattered Dimensions
Spiderman Shattered Dimensions is a Spiderman series that raises an interesting concept. In this game, Peter Parker is told to face a mystical artifact called the Tablet of Order and Chaos. Furthermore, the tablet that possessed supernatural power was then broken into four pieces. It’s not enough to break, and the tablet fragments also scatter into four different dimensions. The main task of the player in this game is to find each of these shards. The main selling point of Shattered Dimensions in each parallel world that the player enters will control a different Spiderman character.
9. Spiderman Miles Morales
Spiderman Miles Morales is a recently released PlayStation exclusive game for the PS4 and PS5 consoles. In this new game, the story will focus on the character of Miles Morales, rather than the character of Peter Parker, who is the main character in the Spiderman game. Peter will assign miles to replace him as a superhero in New York City. As a new superhero, Miles still has a lot to learn about his powers. But he managed to master it by completing each mission.
10. Marvel’s Spiderman
Finally, Marvel’s Spiderman is also an exclusive game released for PS4 and PS5 consoles. The game again presents the adventure story of Peter Parker with better graphics and gameplay mechanics than the previous generation console. Comes with a typical plot of the Spiderman superhero story. Players are also presented with several surprises in the game. The narrative built in this game begins with Peter Parker’s relationship as the main character to other characters, such as Mary Jane, Aunt May, and some of their antagonists.
So those are some of the best Spiderman games that you can try. Wait for information about other games at 1FIFTYFOUR.
