- Opening from Marvel What If

If you look closely, you can find the parents of T’Challa, Peggy Carter, Steve Rogers, Thor, Vision, Proxima Midnight, Obadiah Stane, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, and The Collector. - Peggy Carter’s Transformation
One of the most dramatic scenes in Captain America: The First Avenger is when Steve Rogers transforms into a tall, muscular figure. In Marvel What If, the scene changes position to Peggy Carter in it. Still being irradiated with gamma rays and Super Soldier serum, Peggy has drastically changed to become muscular and has her strength multiple times.
- Blood from Peggy
After the scene of Peggy Carter’s transformation, she was asked for some blood tests and what had changed in her. If we look at Falcon & The Winter Soldier, the blood became an essential point in the creation of Isaiah Bradley. He became a victim of the experiment to make Super Soldier serum from Steve Rogers’ blood. Whereas in Captain America: The First Avenger, there is no blood-drawing scene at all.

The scene of Captain America punching a bag can be said to be a scene that shows how strong he is, even though this scene appeared in the movie The Avengers until this iconic scene is back by Peggy Carter, who has been given serum in episode 1 of Marvel What If. When Captain Carter intercepts a train containing the Red Skull, it is called Operation Where Eagles Dare. Of course, Marvel What If itself made Operation Where Eagles Dare a tribute to the film.
- Hydra Stomper C-15
The appearance of the Iron Man Armor driven by Steve Rogers is astonishing. It looks pretty similar to the first Iron Man armor created by Tony Stark. The advanced technology that is present in the Hydra Stomper is indeed quite confusing. In addition, there is a C-15 stroke that references the Comic Captain America #115 where Steve is fighting the Red Skull for the Tesseract.
- Shuma-Gorath
Red Skull has a very different plan from the one presented in Captain America: The First Avenger. Red Skull shows a monster from another dimension which is thought to have the name Shuma-Gorath who is the enemy of Doctor Strange. The appearance of Shuma-Gorath itself in the comics is that it has many giant tentacles and has one big eye.
- The Sword Peggy Uses
Peggy Carter can reference Captain Britain, who uses the Excalibur sword as his primary weapon. Either Marvel Studios gets the connection from that, or Peggy doesn’t have any other weapon options. You could say Captain Carter’s appearance does look very significant using a sword, where he can save Steve when captured by the Tentacles.
